I was watching Clueless on TV while putting this post together and could't resist one of the best lines of the movie...such a classic.
I was having a conversation with a close friend the other day about who girls dress for. Everyone seems to have a different answer...Some chicks dress for guys (MOST guys like simple v-neck tops, nice fitting jeans...not too much going on..most not all) Some girls dress for other girls (you know who those are) and lastly some chicks dress for themselves! This is me, I dress in whatever my mood feels like putting on, whatever creation comes to mind, it is a different look every single day.
So my question for you is who do you dress for? Do you let others influence you?

I think I like to do my own thing, I quite like it when I pick up something and my friends are like 'really?!' and then when i wear it they end up quite liking itt. love your outfitttt x

ReplyDeleteI agree. I usually dress for myself depending on my mood. Unfortunately, there are occasions when you have to considers what others will think - like at work, etc. But I always think there are ways to add personalized touches and make an outfit reflect your personality. :)

mmmm Yes I think I do let other influence me !!! I see bloggers ,magazines , whatever it is and like to be on trend but since every body type is different I do my own twist. I'm always dressed up ekkk some people hate it some love it but I can't leave the house with out having heels on ekkk

ReplyDeleteSecond I was asking myself the same thing. Some girls dress just for.....girls!! How bad is that? I use to dress for boys and myself but I got the feeling that boys were attracted tomother things. Now that I am married I mainly dress for myself!

ReplyDeleteHmm.. I def. don't dress for guys. I like wearing vintage inspired clothing (Rachel Berry- glee- style). So I guess I dress for myself since most girls don't like looking like a 12 year old hehe
You look gorgeous!! I love this outfit...it has a nice mixture of preppy, modern, and chic. You look a bit like a movie star out and about! :) Love love that jacket. Clueless is such a classic...I recognized the quote right away!! Good question about who we dress for. I'm definitely not into dressing only for girls or only for guys, and I think as adults it should definitely be for ourselves! My husbands' opinions play a big role in a lot of my outfits and decisions too.
