We celebrated my besties birthday this weekend...awesome time. We partied and took over the dance floor in Los Gatos. She looked hot that night in her leather skirt and velvet top...I went with my new cheetah skirt I couldn't wait to wear, a sheer black top and my trusty platforms that rarely make my feet hurt.

I love going out with these girls, they are wayyyy too much fun. Good people = Good Times

Anyone who has been to Pier 39 in San Francisco has seen these platforms with sea lions...this day however they were swimming. Except for the lazy few. (If you look closely the Golden Gate Bridge is in the hazy background)

Sometimes I like to be the one taking pictures... I live in one of the most beautiful places in the country and I attempt to photograph as much of it as possible. The thing I love most about San Francisco is that every time you visit you see something new or something you have never seen before...every single time. The place has so much historic background you could just gaze for days and wonder what it was like back in the day...

My babe had never been to Chinatown or onto Pier 39...and hes lived in California his entire life...just goes to show people often take things for granted when they live so close...even one of the most popular tourist attractions in the whole country.

These photos were taken this last weekend...73 degrees in the middle of January...This is the reason I live here and the reason my rent is triple what the rest of the country pays...worth it.

I've been sick these last few days...bleh...hate missing work and doing nothing...should be back in action tomorrow.

I had a fabulous weekend...Went to San Francisco with my babe...wandered the city in search of scarves, sea lions and ice cream! Best Day. On Saturday night went out and celebrated my besties birthday and had the bestest time EVER! HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABE!  Danced until are legs hurt. Sunday...gorgeous day...SO thankful I live in California! I spent the day at the beach adding some glow to my pale skin and grabbing some awesome finds at the thrift!

I scored a cropped leather jacket for 16 bucks and a silk brown top that was brand new for 12! Way excited to put them to use!

I actually have jeans on in these photos...strange concept I know...but I actually have an addiction to jeans and own about 40 pairs. Crazy. I need to start wearing them more....skirts and tights have been too much fun lately.

Miss America 2011

Congrats Miss America!!

I'll be honest....Pageants are not my thing...at all. I cannot understand why women would subject them self to judging and 53 other females...but to each their own.

I am simply posting this because Miss America 2011 is Miss Nebraska...shes only 17 and this is the first win for Nebraska. I am from Nebraska and am very proud of my home town state...finally the place can be recognized for more then its football.

With that being said GO CORNHUSKERS! :)

I whip my hair back and forth...I had too

 I have been working hard on my new years resolution...which was to be happy so I could exude happiness. Its working....slowly but surely. My roomies and I moved and were finally settled in and the new place is starting to feel like home. Back to work, back to school, back to the grind of living...

I had a conversation the other day with a co-worker about growing up...I realize that for every year that I get older I become more aware of my surroundings, my belongings...even myself as a whole. Its a strange realization coming out of your younger years where carelessness and independence was the main infatuation. It is truly surreal "growing up".

Looking at these photos I also realize I have lost a couple pounds and should maybe hit up In n' Out for dinner everyday this week....I like to be slim but feel WAY better with curves and meat on me (as I walk to the kitchen in search of cheetos and coke).

I'm slightly addicted to over the knees right now...not sure how it happened but I have them in every color. It's a nice change to tights which never seem to hug in the right places. Also it's been chilly here in California...in need of some warmth...and God forbid I put my mini's away for the winter.

1. I only like love/drama and funny movies...Horror films and action flicks give me anxiety and its impossible for me to watch.

3. Animals are my weakness...I would have a zoo if I could afford it...anything fluffy...I die :)

4. I hate milk...bleh...only in cereal...thats as close as I will get to drinking it.

5. I moved to California by myself 5 1/2 years ago...from Nebraska.

6. I can't sing...I talk really loud...Guess I can't hear myself to well.

7. I'm the most clumsy person I have ever met...I run into every corner and trip over everything....everything...Five inch heels are my shoes of choice....

Some days are vintage days. Pulling out an old dress with character always brightens my day. I have had this dress for awhile and I believe I found it at a Goodwill for a couple of dollars. Its a tight fitting dress with a sheer overlay...interesting design but perfect in every way. I realized after taking these pictures I must have subconsciously been channeling Audrey Hepburn....odd.

It is my baby brothers 21st birthday today!! CANNOT believe hes a real adult...he can drink...he can go to BARS!! Scary... watch out world....Brother I love you!!

Hope everyone has had a good start to the year so far....one of my resolutions is happiness....happiness within  to have happiness to exude.

New Year, New Outlook... Cant Wait

HELLLOO!!!! Oh my goodness I cannot tell you how great it feels to be giving some love to my cherished blog!! These last couple of weeks have been insane!! Holidays...friends....outings....sick....moving...NEW YEARS!...and the list could go on and on! The good thing is I am back on track and ready to go!

How was everyones holidays and New Years?! Cant wait to browse the blog world and see what everyone has been up too!

My girlfriends and I went out dancing for New Years Eve and had a blast, I wore sparkly shorts....perfect occasion!  Nothing like bringing in the New Year with people who love and support you... I cant say it enough about how truly blessed I am to have such a great group of friends. <3

I moved this last week into a condo with my previous roomies....I am SO excited...its so much more spacious and the location is AWESOME! Such a good beginning to 2011!

I am back to my regular postings and have some cool ideas for my blog in 2011...Thank you for your continued support and HELLO to all my new readers!
