A year that we will remember forever. 

If any of you have a business or know someone who owns a small business, you know how much time and effort is needed. True dedication of an entrepreneur takes a solid idea and a solid group of people working towards the same goal.

Lauren & Megan spent the first part of 2017 handling business out of our small 6x7ft space in Oakridge Mall, during that time we also held a full time job outside of Bronzed Humanity and set a big goal to only be working on our shop by the end of the year. 

In April, we invited some of our closest friends and traveled to Panama for an amazing ten day trip that changed our lives and got us prepped for what was ahead. 

Jamie joined us in May, we buttered her up on our Panama trip and asked her to join onto our team and create a skincare line that is formulated for our Spray Tans. Voila, Outlive Humanity, an all natural and luxurious skincare line was formed. 

JUNE. This was where things got exciting. We found the storefront of our Dreams right up the street from our current spot, right on Blossom Hill and 800 SQUARE FEET. JULY 1st. We are open every.single.day from 10am-9pm. Its the definition of dedication, we figured that out in the first three months as our lives/schedule drastically changed. NOVEMBER, the team said HELLO to Lashed You Out by Cianna and now Bronzed Humanity offers Luxury Eyelash Extensions. Working together is beautiful chaos, the team builds and gains strength daily, we also work hard to keep the positive energy strong. 

Main goals for 2018....DOUBLE our client list, open another location AND bring on a bigger team for eyelashes.  Wish us luck.

How to Prep Your Skin for a Bronzed Humanity Organic Spray Tan

It's that time again. Luxury Organic Spray Tan time. Skin prep is the most important part to a flawless, long lasting spray tan.

Bronzed Humanity put together a little list on the best ways to prep your skin for our Organic Spray Tans.

FLAWLESS BRONZED HUMANITY SPRAY TAN

1. Exfoliate:
Lightly scrub onto the skin to remove any soon to fall off skin cells or old spray tan residue. Spray tanning dyes the first layer of your skin with DHA (Organic, of course) turning the skin cells brown (tan) for 7-10 days or until your top layer falls off. Moisturizing after a tan is crucial, we will save that for the next post though.

2. Shave/Wax:
At least 8-24 hrs prior to your custom Spray Tan. We recommend doing both prior to the spray as shaving can fade a tan and waxing can pull the tan right off the skin if done after. A day of shave can be slightly dangerous as everyone's skins different, most people can get away with shaving day of, but if you have coarse hair or larger pores you do risk getting spray tan in them that may not look so pretty. So please, if possible, take our advice, 8-24hrs prior to appointment.

3. Moisturize:
Really hydrate the skin prior to coming in for your Bronzed Humanity spray tan. A few days prior, moisturize in those pesky drier areas like elbows, knees and backs of feet. The day of your spray tan, no lotions, oils or deodorants, bare clean skin is the best for an Organic Spray Tan.

PERFECT ALL OVER GLOW

Extra Tips:

Manicure/Pedicure:
Bronzed Humanity recommends getting your nails and toes pampered prior to your Spray Tan appointment. Reduces the risk of the nail salon removing your fresh tan. No, the spray tan will not effect the nail color.

Hairstyle: 
Hair up and off your shoulders please. Bronzed Humanity offers hair nets and hair ties if needed. The solution with not harm your hair or change its color.

Bring a Cotton Dress/Shirt:
Something loose fitting for after the Spray Tan appointment. You won't want anything rubbing on the skin while the tan is developing.

Following these simple suggestions will almost guarantee a beautiful spray tan outcome. Bronzed Humanity believes in educating each client before and after a spray tan so that your beautiful new glow lasts the longest possible.
