Hot Pink Day: Daily Face Routine

Hi Everyone!

I am doing a slightly different post today that doesn't have much to do with fashion and a little to do with beauty...Don't worry I am not turning into a beauty blogger...I am not that talented in the beauty department....I will leave that to the beauty blogger professionals.

Every week at least once for the last couple of years I get an email from a lovely reader asking how I manage to keep my face clear...After I am done blushing from the compliment I attempt to write them back the best I know how...I figured why not just make a post on my daily routine and then maybe...just maybe I will make more sense with pictures. So VOILA!

I will say this...Everyone's skin is different, I have normal/combination/sensitive skin and it has taken me a LONG time to find products that don't make my skin flare up. I have been using this routine for a few years and have had some pretty good luck! I attempt to get a facial every 6 months or so and I NEVER let my face hang out in the sun EVER. I am terrified of sun spots and wrinkles....So hats are my thing when I am outside.

I also get a few comments and random emails on my make up routine...I will save that for another post...But I promise it is not that exciting.

Hey Heyyy!

When I look at my closet I definitely notice two things...one...I probably have too much....two...I probably have too much vintage. Then I shake that off and remember there is no such thing as too much vintage. When asked what my fave place is to shop my response is often "the thrift store". I love the idea of finding something that is unique and often times high end items I wouldn't be able to purchase unless I found it at the these types of stores. Thrifting is one of those things that you either get or you don't, not good or bad, just some people don't understand that you have to spend time and you have to expect NOTHING....Some of my absolute favorite items in my closet have been purchased for less then five dollars.

I came home to do a blog post the other day and reached for this vintage sweater and my weekly worn shorts that have started to fray in the oddest places. Still love them. Also I def dig the front of this sweater...but I liked the back better so I turned it around and wore it that way instead.

Hey Everyone!!

1. How did you come up with the name Libi & Lola?

Anyone out there a shower thinker? You know when ALL your best ideas and ventures come to you in the quiet, serene setting of a hot shower...Well I am definitely a shower thinker...the Libi & Lola idea came to me during a daily session and was an instant hit in my mind, VOILA! Libi & Lola was born.

2. Who is Libi & Lola?

The idea behind the two names is that they reach my inner style alter egos....I am convinced everyone has them. Some days I feel like I wanna be more subtle, add some solid colors and not be so loud (This is Libi) and some days I like to throw on every bright patterned thing in my closet with two coats of red lipstick and call it good (This is Lola). This is who they are to me...who are they to you?

Sometimes a trip back to hang out close friends and family is the perfect remedy for a stressful situation. Nebraska is a comfort zone and always will be. I will always be proud to be from there as it was an interesting place to grow up in, definitely shaped me into the person I am today and I couldn't be more happy about that. Would I recommend a fancy vacation there? No...Would I recommend a party/football weekend? Absolutely, they know how to have a great time.

It was a bitter sweet visit as my mom and stepdad our packing up and shipping out to Peru...YES Peru!...Excited for them....of course you know what that means?! PERU HERE I COME!
My mom started a blog to track her progress of getting there...Check it out for the fun, bumps and excitement of leaving and moving out of the country! Proud of them.
